Celebrating Albany, Dutch Heritage and Fort Nassau! -- Segment on Schenectady Today in & Around the Capital Region with Guest: Vince Forte, Jr., Fine Art Oil Painter. Original oil paintings by Vince Forte, Jr. will be displayed and sold at the Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center September 9th through November 2nd. These high quality fine art paintings depict Fort Nassau and other local scenes such as Washington Park and the USS Slater. Additional paintings depict Dutch themes. Vince has over 30 years of experience in painting. He is an engineer and in technical management by profession. He has also completed bronze sculptures including a full figure bronze of Mayor Erastus Corning II. Event: Celebrating Albany, its Dutch Heritage and the 400th Anniversary of Fort Nassau Location of event: Albany Heritage Area Visitors Center, 25 Quackenbush Square, Albany, NY 12207 (corner of Broadway and Clinton Ave.) Date/Time: Tuesday, September 9 through November 2 inclusive. Harmony and Discord! -- Segment on Schenectady Today in & Around the Capital Region with Guest: Kate Dudding (Producer and Storyteller). The Story Circle of the Capital District of NYS was established in 1983. Their purpose is to provide an opportunity for members to tell stories before a live audience; to hear stories told; collect a roster of active storytellers; bring the art of storytelling to the public eye and ear and to encourage beginning storytellers.
